When I purchased the Death to Dementia domain name, the intention was only to have an online journal. However the more people I have met and the more stories that have been shared with me, I knew it needed to be so much more.

    With Death to Dementia (501c3), we are able to lead the charge in our community and beyond for awareness and fundraising to ultimately bring Alzheimer’s Disease and other Dementias to their knees.

  • AWARENESS

    The more people who are aware of the disease, the sickness it entails and the emotional and financial stresses it causes, the stronger chance we have to eradicate Alzheimer’s + other Dementias

    With various efforts throughout the year, including our Purple Parade, Purple Gala, Purple Golf and selling merchandise, we will consistently be working to fundraise for helping our local community as well as funding research for a cure to this devastating disease.

    Caring for a loved one with any type of Dementia can be radically expensive, whether you care for them in home or they live in a specialized community. One of our goals is to be able to lessen the financial burden of select families on the First Coast.

    There is a special place in our hearts for caregivers, well, because, we are them. With Death To Dementia, we are working on local programs to lessen the burden of caretaking. Have ideas, we are open to hearing them.
